The world is witnessing one of the most unjustified and callous attack on Ukraine. It is a genocide of innocent people like nothing we have seen in a long time. Hospitals, kindergartens, homes, cultural institutions, and innocent civilians are being bombed, destroyed, murdered and wiped out from existence. Whilst we cannot stop this war, we as a global community, the creative community can show our support in any way we can.
As you read this message, murals painted by local artists around the city of Melbourne that are dedicated to the plight of Ukraine are going up to raise awareness, support and fundraise to provide financial assistance as well as provisions for those displaced.
Keep up to date with the murals and Ukrainian Arts Precinct on Facebook and Instagram @Art4UkraineAUS. Murals completed so far include donations by CreatureCreature in Collingwood (corner Johnston and Wellington streets), and three at our Essendon domivka, from Jason Parker, Meggs and Clare and Amanda Newman. We are well on our way to creating a Ukrainian Arts Precinct here in Melbourne – all in the name of Ukraine and to raise much needed humanitarian support through Ukraine Crisis Appeal. All artworks will include a QR code linking to the Appeal.

Off the Kerb has generously contributed to this action by sponsoring this large scale exhibition to raise funds for https://www.ukrainecrisisappeal.org/.
In official partnership with Caritas Ukraine, this charity meets the immediate lifesaving needs of the crisis-affected civilian population in Ukraine and provides early recovery assistance immediately. Their goal is to save and preserve lives, ease suffering and promote self-sufficiency and safety.
We cannot do this without our artist community. This fundraiser exhibition has been made possible by the generosity of Melbourne’s art community. Exhibition sponsors Frames Rady Made, Bodriggy and Milkbar.
Off the Kerb gallery will be selling all artworks on show and donating 100% proceeds to https://www.ukrainecrisisappeal.org/ so they may continue their important work. Follow Art4UkraineAUS on social media and Off the Kerb Gallery, and keep up to date on their website. AUV offers their sincerest gratitude to Shini for her generous donation of her gallery and hosting of this fundraiser for Ukraine. Our appreciation for your generosity in donating your facilities, contacts and talents is endless.
A couple of the artworks up for auction this Thursday:

Be sure to join us on Thursday’s opening and if you cannot attend, any remaining artwork will be available to purchase until 12th May 2022. See the full list of donating artists below!
