Great to see all the hard work of the new committee and volunteers taking off for a really special day on Saturday in St Albans. The Sisters of St Basil the Great facilitated a fabulous masterclass to teach traditional Ukrainian wax-resist Pysanky egg painting. It was great to see a lot of new faces come to learn and share tips on this unique Easter tradition.
It was a great atmosphere with close to 60 people in attendance. The local MP, Natalie Suleyman, came down on the day and Dominos Pizza sponsored the event. It is great to see the Ukrainian spirit alive and kicking in the western suburbs of Melbourne. We are so thrilled to see the local branch accomplishing great things.
Congratulations and best wishes for another successful event and hopefully many more to promote Ukrainian culture. Вітаємо!
