91 річниця Голодомору Геноциду 1932-33 pp

В днях 23-oго та 24 листопада, 2024, Українська Католицька Церква, Катидральна Парафія та Українська Громада Вікторії будуть відзначувати 91-у річницю Голодомору разом з Українською Автокефальною Православною  Церквою Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці.

24-го листопада, 2024 Українська Громада Вікторії закликає усіх Парафіян, членів УГВ та взагалі наше cyспільство урочиcто відзначити 91-у річницю   Голодомору-Геноциду 1932-33 рр. та приєднатися до започаткування Мережі Нащадків Голодомору Вікторії. Офіційне відкриття мережі відбудеться після Богослужіння о 10-ій год рано та Панахиди перед Хрестом на площі Української Автокефальної Православної Церкви Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці – Ессендон – 91 Buckley St Essendon. Прогама включає доповідь Др Ірини Скубій, Ольги Лісової та обговоренням події  відзначення та започаткування Мережі.

Association of Ukrainians in Victoria is commemorating the 91 st Anniversary of the
Holodomor/Genocide of the Ukrainian people, with an interesting program at the Ukrainian
Autocephalous Orthodox Church – Intercession of the Holy Virgin – 91 Buckley St. Essendon –
Sunday 24 November 2024. Following a mass at 10am, there will be a panakhyda by the cross in the
yard of the Church commemorating the millions starved to death by Stalin and his Communist regime
and around 12.30 will culminate in a very interesting program focusing on the launching of the
Victorian Holodomor Descendants Network. The program will feature Dr Skubii a historian &
inaugural Mykola Zerov Fellow in Ukrainian Studies, University of Melbourne, Olha Lisova & other
interesting activities as well as light refreshments.

Програма заходу буде така, о 16:00 буде Парастас за всіма помершими у Голодоморі, а відтак
буде доповідь др. Ірини Скубій з Мельбурнського Університету на тему: «Голод спожив усе; ми
продали все до останньої нитки… Матеріальність виживання під час Голодомору в Україні». У
час, коли Україна знову стикається із загрозами для свого народу та міст з боку росії та режиму
путіна, важливо пам’ятати ці минулі злочини та разом протистояти жахіттям, спричиненим
людськими руками. Вшануємо пам’ять тих, хто загинув під час Голодомору, та підвищимо
обізнаність про те, що голод та геноцид є неприпустимими, де б і коли б вони не траплялися.
We invite you to join us in solemn commemoration of the Holodomor – the genocide of the Ukrainian
people carried out by the Russian Communist regime in 1932-1933.On this day, we will remember the
millions who perished and stand in solidarity to ensure their memory endures.The program for the
event is as follows at 35 Canning St North Melbourne: at 4:00 PM, a Parastas will be served for all
those who perished in the Holodomor, followed by a lecture by Dr. Iryna Skubii from the University of
Melbourne on the topic: “The Hunger Consumed Everything; We Sold Everything to the Last
Thread… Materiality of Survival During the Holodomor in Ukraine.”mIn a time when Ukraine again
faces threats to its people, its cities by russia and putin regime, it is crucial to remember these past
atrocities and stand together against the horrors of human-imposed suffering. Let us honour the
memory of those who perished in the Holodomor and raise awareness that hunger and genocide are
inexcusable, wherever and whenever they occur.
