Children / Youth Liturgy
Celebrated every second Sunday of the Month at 9.30am
Sunday 12th February will have a special meaning as we prepare for Lent. We ask that you bring a Candle (or you can buy one at the Church) for your children to decorate after the Liturgy.
The candles will be blessed on the Special Feast Day of the Presentation of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple on Wednesday 15th February at 10.00 am”.
This Feast Day commemorates Simeon’s famous prophecy that Jesus would be a “light of revelation to the Gentiles.” That’s why on that day candles are blessed in the church and then we light them at home for festive celebrations or when we are praying.
Літургія для дітей та молоді в нашій парафії відзначається кожної другої неділі місяця о годині 9.30 ранку.
Неділя 12 лютого матиме особливе значення, оскільки ми готуємось до Великого посту. Просимо принести Свічку (або її можна купити в Церкві), яку Ваші діти матимуть змогу прикрасити після Божественної Літургії.
Освячення свічок відбудеться під час Літургії в день свята Стрітення Господа нашого Ісуса Христа в середу 15 лютого 2023 о годині 10.00 ранку.
Це свято пригадує нам відоме пророцтво Симеона про те, що Ісус буде « світло на просвіту поганам, і славу твого люду – Ізраїля». Тому в цей день у церкві освячують свічки, а потім запалюють їх удома на святкових торжествах або під час молитви.
