Let’s Colour Georgia – Melbourne

Our Georgian friends have been fighting for their independence as fiercely as Ukrainians. They, like us, must fight for their aspirations to be independent from russian influence, to join the EU, as well as hold fair and democratic elections.
Georgia’s Independence Day is just around the corner and we’re coming together to show our support for the brave souls fighting for freedom and democracy.
On Saturday, May 24, join us at the iconic Old Bar Gallery in Fitzroy (upstairs) to make your mark on a black-and-white canvas created by Georgian artists. We’ll colour it in, handprint by handprint, to show unity, hope, and solidarity for Georgia’s future.
This event is part of a global movement, with cities around the world adding their colours to the canvas in support of Georgia’s fight for freedom and democracy.

The canvas will then be taken to Federation Square on Sunday, May 25 at noon for the solidarity protest.
