The story of THE GUIDE takes place in the early 1930s during the Holodomor, or Terror-Famine, when the Soviet regime killed millions of Ukrainians largely by starvation. Several nations have formally recognized the Holodomor as a genocide.
American boy Peter and blind musician Ivan are thrown together by fate amidst the 1930’s Russian subjugation of Ukraine.
The “Terror Famine” of the 30’s is incredibly current given the attempts of Russia to once again crush the independence and freedom of their Ukrainian neighbour.
*100% of Box Office proceeds from this film will be donated to the International Red Cross and directed to Ukrainian Relief.
