In a time when the Ukrainian culture is being challenged and its people displaced and torn apart, now is the time to participate and share in the beauty of Ukrainian tradition. A ‘pysanka’ is an egg painted using dyes and beeswax, utilising a tool called a “kistka” that is heated by candle, melting the wax and trapping the dye underneath. After many layers, the result is a beautiful, detailed, meaningful trophy that wards off evil and brings your desires to fruition. It’s a wonderful tradition that you can learn!
