Ukrainian Comedy Night is coming to our sports club Ukrainian Club Kyiv Geelong!

A comedy night for anyone who has or had a ‘Baba’ or has a European partner.

Featuring comedians Joshua Ladgrove and Danny McGinlay, they are both well-known comedians who have performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and at many international events.

Joshua Ladgrove will be performing his show ‘Baba’ which featured at the recent Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Joshua Ladgrove was a multi-award-winning performer prior to caring for his 97 year-old Ukrainian grandmother – “Baba” – in almost complete isolation for two and a half years from February 2020 until her death in August 2022. This is that story. A funny, moving and occasionally accurate show about life, death, family and the Bold and Beauty.

Danny McGinlay has been a touring headline comedian for over a decade, performing for royalty, Prime Ministers and even Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was a co-host of AFL Game Day on Channel 7.

Although not Ukrainian himself, he has married into a Ukrainian family, visited many parts of Ukraine and has even performed standup in Ukrainian (badly).
