Notice of AGM – Call for Nominations

September 14, 2021

Notice of AGM – Call for Nominations

Notice of the 74th AUV AGM and a call for nominations to the AUV Board or Internal Audit Committee

Because of the frequent and unpredictable lockdowns in Victoria, the AUV Uprava has decided to conduct this year’s AGM electronically via ‘Zoom’ as we did last year.

The AUV AGM will be held at 2:00pm Saturday 30th October 2021
via Zoom – an electronic video format

Relevant AGM documents and Zoom connection details will be made available closer to the AGM date.

Given the varied nature of our membership and the complexity of conducting and managing voting during an electronic meeting, voting will be managed before the AGM via mail/email.

As part of this notice we “Call for Nominations” for the following positions:

  • President of the AUV
  • Director – 6 positions vacant (1 President and 5 directors)
  • Chair of the Internal Audit Committee
  • Member of the Internal Audit Committee

Please note that 2 current directors of the AUV Board, are willing to continue on the Board and will be nominating to stand for re-election and we have 2 candidates that have agreed to nominate for Director positions.

To nominate use the below Nomination Form.

Nomination instructions:

Nominations of candidates for election to the AUV Board or to the Internal Audit Committee must be:

(a) Made in writing by completing the attached Nomination Form; and

(b) Delivered to and received by the Operations Manager as described on the Nomination form attached, no later than:

                        5:00 pm Wednesday 29th September 2021.

Due to the current ‘Lockdown’ and travel restrictions, the Nomination forms have been simplified.  We have provided 2 options:

  • Members may nominate (apply) for positions themselves, in which case they must allocate 2 Sponsors and provide the sponsors’ names and contact details.  Or
  • Members (proposers) to nominate others.

Nomination Sponsors/Proposers and Candidates must be fully paid-up members of the AUV as of the 1st of October 2021 in order to be considered for election.

Candidates must also have been a member for at least 6 months, unless special approval has been given by the AUV Board.

Given the current CoVid-19 travel restrictions, if you are unable to obtain the signatures of sponsors/proposers on the nomination form, you must provide their telephone contact details.

Please ensure you fill in names and contact details on the nomination form.
