It is with great pleasure that the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria
announces that the updated Constitution of the AUV
was passed by a majority vote of 87%.

EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
On Sunday 7 April 2019, at a very well attended EGM, members and Branches of the AUV resolutely approved amendments made to our Constitution which was first written in 1957. Since then there has only been one amendment in the 1980’s and it was time to modernise and become more relevant.
The EGM was conducted in a very professional and streamlined manner by the Chair Marko Misko. There was robust discussion and expressions of thanks to the Review Committee and support for the updates.
The new Constitution provides equal voting rights for all AUV members and gives more protection to our community assets.
We thank everyone who volunteered their time and input over the past 6 years since the process started.

Special thanks and acknowledgement goes to Tatiana Zachariak who has been involved since the beginning, to Valik Mykytenko for spearheading this latest Review Committee and to all the Heads of our Branches.

It is a great step forward for our community in Victoria and guarantees our unity and growth.
