#StandWithUkraine: Second Rally and Vigil

RALLY AND VIGIL FOR UKRAINE

Calling Australians, Australian-Ukrainians, friends and supporters of a democratic Ukraine from all over Victoria to come to our rally starting at Treasury Gardens in
Melbourne, then march to Federation Square.

We will show solidarity with Ukraine and support for its rightful independence and
territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, including Crimea and the
temporarily occupied regions of eastern Ukraine.
Details:

  • 12.30pm: Meeting at Treasury Gardens, Spring Street, Melbourne (to the right of
    Parliament)
  • 1.00pm: We march down Collins Street into Swanston then Flinders Street
  • 1.30pm – 2.30pm: Rally gathering at the Federation Square Amphitheatre (Flinders
    Street entrance)

Iron your vyshyvanky, print off some placards, unfold your Ukrainian and Australian flags
and warm up your voices to take to the streets of Melbourne and show our support for
Ukraine!

Some Slogans to utilise:
#StandWithUkraine
#StopPutinNOW
#RussiaHandsOffUkraine
Say NO to Putin

GATHER IN COMMUNITY SOLIDARITY AFTER THE RALLY

We invite all supporters of Ukraine to come together and unite in community solidarity
for an informal gathering after the Rally and Vigil.

This is an emotional time for all and one where we need to come together to support
one another. As grateful as we may be to be so geographically removed from imminent
danger, the difficulties of feeling helpless and anxious should not be ignored. We are all
feeling the effects of this war in some way.

Varenyky and refreshments will be available for purchase, with all profits going to
humanitarian aid in Ukraine through ukrainecrisisappeal.org

Cafe Trembita is located in North Melbourne at Sts Peter & Paul’s church hall, just above
the childcare centre. Come straight from the rally – varenyky will be served from 4pm.
